
Noida, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : The Noida Police have made a significant breakthrough in a car theft case, arresting a suspect and recovering a stolen Hyundai Exter along with a fake license plate. The arrest took place in Sector 20, where the police acted on a complaint filed by the vehicle’s owner.
According to police reports, the victim had parked her car in a lot near the Silver Tower. Upon returning, she discovered her vehicle was missing. After an extensive search yielded no results, she reported the theft to the police.
In response, the Sector 20 police registered a case and launched an investigation, treating the incident with urgency. They utilized local intelligence and electronic surveillance to gather crucial information regarding the stolen vehicle.
On September 13, 2026, police received a tip-off about the suspect’s whereabouts. Officers apprehended him near the DLF Mall while he was traveling from Atta Peer. The suspect has been identified as Arun, a 22-year-old resident of Chhijarsi, Sector 63, Noida, originally from Bagwala in Etah.
During the arrest, police recovered the stolen Hyundai Exter and found that the suspect had placed a fake license plate on the vehicle to conceal its identity. The original license plate was discovered hidden in the car’s trunk, providing vital evidence related to the theft. Authorities are now questioning Arun to determine the details of the crime and whether he has been involved in other vehicle thefts.
