Patna, June 24: JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad has responded to the Bharat Tiwari encounter case and issues concerning the TMC.
Regarding the Bharat Tiwari encounter, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad stated that the state government is fully committed to addressing this incident. Following questions about the role of police personnel, the state government has referred the matter to an investigative committee. The report from the judicial inquiry committee and subsequent decisions will ensure that no one will be spared. Those who have made mistakes will face action.
In response to allegations made by the RJD against the NDA government and Samrat Chaudhary, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad remarked that similar accusations were previously directed at Nitish Kumar by the RJD; now they are being aimed at Samrat Chaudhary. He asserted that law and order in Bihar is in excellent condition. Whenever violence has occurred from criminals, the police have taken strict measures, teaching them a lesson. Therefore, the RJD’s allegations hold no merit.
Commenting on Nishant Kumar’s performance as Health Minister, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad noted that Nishant Kumar is very vigilant regarding honorable values. The steps he has taken as Health Minister indicate that he stands apart from others in Bihar’s political landscape.
On Ritabrata Banerjee’s claims regarding the ‘real’ TMC, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad stated in an interview that the legislative party has split, with more than two-thirds of the parliamentary party members abandoning Mamata Banerjee. Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee have been ousted from the original party, making it clear that Mamata Banerjee no longer has a party. Consequently, she should relinquish her claims to the symbol and original party.
He added that the original party has completely shifted to leaders like Kakoli Ghosh and Ritabrata Banerjee. The statements being made by them reflect the official stance of the TMC.
