Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarmas AI Dance Video Goes Viral with Over 3.3 Million Views

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarmas AI-generated dance video to Gangnam Style has captivated over 3.3 million viewers on Instagram.

Guwahati, October 25 (Daily Kiran) : Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has captured the internet’s attention with an AI-generated video that has amassed over 3.3 million views on Instagram since its release on October 25. In the clip, Sarma is seen dancing to the global hit “Gangnam Style” by South Korean artist PSY.

The video, shared on the Chief Minister’s official Instagram account, features Sarma alongside two of his cabinet colleagues, Agriculture Minister Piyush Hazarika and Finance Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah. The trio showcases the iconic dance moves from the 2012 song, which became a cultural phenomenon worldwide.

In this unique AI rendition, the leaders are depicted in a playful light, swapping traditional political imagery for the catchy horse-riding dance associated with “Gangnam Style.” The video has sparked significant online interest, with viewers responding enthusiastically to the unexpected portrayal of these political figures.

This viral moment highlights the increasing role of AI-generated content in political communication and social media engagement. Sarma is known for his vibrant performances at election rallies, where he often incorporates dance into his political messaging. His previous videos have featured lively clapping, animated gestures, and energetic jumps, typically set to music favored by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

However, this latest video marks a departure from the norm, placing the Chief Minister and his fellow ministers against a backdrop of internationally recognized pop culture. Released in 2012, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” gained fame for its distinctive dance, catchy electronic beats, and humorous visuals, becoming one of the most recognizable dance moves of the decade.

This viral clip also underscores how political figures are increasingly venturing beyond traditional speeches and press conferences to engage audiences with unconventional digital content.
