Irans Foreign Minister Asserts Changes in Hormuz Strait Management Amid Regional Tensions
Irans Foreign Minister emphasizes changes in Hormuz Strait management, citing new realities post-U.S.-Israel conflicts.

Tehran, October 25 (Daily Kiran) : Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, stated on Sunday that the management and navigation routes of the Hormuz Strait will not revert to previous conditions. This announcement was made during a ceremony in Tehran, as reported by the official Iranian news agency IRNA.
According to Xinhua, Araghchi emphasized the “fundamental and strategic” shifts in West Asia following the recent U.S.-Israel conflicts. He acknowledged the emergence of new realities that will alter the dynamics in the Hormuz Strait, stating, “We must accept that the routes will not remain the same, nor will the management of the Strait.”
He further asserted that regional security should be ensured by local nations rather than relying on foreign forces, whose presence is often motivated by their own interests and the security of Israel. Araghchi warned that this ongoing foreign military presence contributes to insecurity across the region. He expressed Iran’s readiness to collaborate with all regional countries.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei highlighted the need for serious efforts to promote the rights of Iranian citizens and to seek compensation for damages incurred during U.S.-Israeli attacks. A statement published on Saturday on Khamenei’s website detailed discussions he had with the head of Iran’s judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, focusing on these critical issues.
Key topics addressed during their meeting included promoting justice, protecting public rights, effectively combating corruption, expediting judicial processes, and implementing judicial decisions in a timely and efficient manner. They also stressed the importance of developing plans to decisively fight crime and to seriously pursue compensation for the material and immaterial losses caused by alleged crimes committed by U.S.-Israeli perpetrators.
