Netanyahu Asserts Iran Will Never Again Threaten Israels Existence

Tel Aviv, June 3: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran will never again pose a threat to Israel’s existence. This declaration came during the swearing-in ceremony of Roman Goffman as the new director of the Mossad intelligence agency on Tuesday. Goffman was nominated by Netanyahu in December 2025, facing several legal challenges that were resolved today.

Netanyahu emphasized that the Iranian regime must come to an end, asserting, “We will help achieve that goal.” He firmly stated that Iran will not return to a position where it can threaten Israel’s existence.

According to Israeli media outlet The Times of Israel, Goffman is the 14th director of Mossad, succeeding Chief David Barnea. Prior to his appointment, Goffman served as Netanyahu’s military secretary.

Targeting Iran, Netanyahu remarked, “This reign of terror must end, and we will assist in reaching that destination. Iran will never again threaten us with nuclear bombs and thousands of dangerous ballistic missiles.” He directed Goffman, saying, “This is my instruction; this is your mission, Roman.”

The Prime Minister further stated that Mossad will play a crucial role in Israel’s fight against Iranian aggression. He reiterated Israel’s long-standing policy of not allowing the Iranian regime to advance its nuclear capabilities or pose a threat to Israel’s existence.

Netanyahu noted, “The price Iran has paid is significant. The foundation of this reign of terror has crumbled. It will never be the same as before, and I assure you, its downfall is inevitable.”

He warned that any enemy plotting against Israel will pay a heavy price. Netanyahu added, “The strategic shift we have made against the Iranian axis through military action has altered the balance of power in the region, but the work is not yet complete. Mossad is committed to its secret operations against our targets. We will safeguard that mission at all costs.”
