Nephew Kills Uncle Over Water Dispute in Madhya Pradesh

Narsinghpur, March 25: A shocking incident has emerged from Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a nephew fatally shot his uncle over a water dispute.

The incident occurred in the Dundi-Pindrai village, located in the Stationganj police jurisdiction. The conflict arose when water from the elder brother’s field flowed into the nephew’s land, escalating into a violent confrontation. The victim has been identified as Prem Narayan, who was working in the field when he was shot by his nephew, resulting in his immediate death.

The victim’s son, Sachin, reported that the argument began during irrigation when water inadvertently entered the accused Sandeep’s field. Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem at the district hospital.

Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the case, and further investigations are underway. The incident has plunged the family into mourning, creating an atmosphere of fear and dread throughout the area.

In a related note, another alarming event occurred last Tuesday in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, where a shooting incident at the Piro registry office left five people, including a property dealer, injured. This violence stemmed from an ongoing dispute over a 2.5 katha land plot. A gang of armed assailants suddenly attacked those present for land registration, causing chaos and panic in the office.

Notably, the office houses the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), and other administrative officials, typically considered secure. Despite this, the attackers managed to carry out the shooting, raising serious concerns about law and order.
