New Delhi, May 12: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj has condemned the allegations surrounding the NEET paper leak, calling it “shameful” and criticizing the recurring incidents that jeopardize students’ futures. He stated that the government shows little concern for children’s education and the development of an educated society.
In an interview with a news agency, Bhardwaj expressed his belief that medical exam papers have been leaking for several years. He noted that these are just the cases that have come to light, suggesting that there may have been many more instances unnoticed. Approximately 2.5 million students sit for this examination each year.
He criticized the court’s lenient approach towards the NEET paper leak issue, pointing out that the Supreme Court has often failed to annul the exam despite orders. “This is a blatant disregard for the futures of around 2.5 million children. Those who benefited from the leaks and received money for it have acted in their own self-interest. Children who exploited the paper leak may now be practicing as doctors,” he added.
Bhardwaj emphasized that the government seems indifferent to education and the importance of being educated.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Santosh Singh Saluja, speaking from Bhubaneswar, highlighted that nearly 2.3 million students who took the NEET exam in 2026 are now facing an uncertain future due to renewed questions about the paper leak. He pointed out that similar allegations arose last year, leading to the cancellation of exams this year as well. This not only jeopardizes the future of talented students but also results in a significant waste of time.
