New Delhi, June 21: The NEET-UG 2026 exam is set to be re-conducted this Sunday. Preparations for the re-examination are complete, and the response from Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been positive.
In a conversation with reporters, Pradhan stated, “The re-examination is happening today. I have complete faith in the NTA, all state governments, district administrations, India’s education system, and especially the students of our country. Nearly 2.2 million students will soon participate in the NEET exam. They should take the exam without any fear or anxiety.”
Wishing all students good luck, Pradhan added, “You will certainly do well. I extend my best wishes to all students. The people have faith in the country’s system, and that trust will remain intact. I hope this unwavering faith continues.”
He further urged, “As an individual and a social worker, I request that we do not play with the future of India’s new generation. Do not make this a joke. Let us not do anything that could affect the mental health of children. In just a few hours, they will be taking their exams. I say this because some so-called responsible individuals behaved with ill intentions towards children yesterday.”
Pradhan appealed to those who consider themselves responsible citizens to take accountability. “If you represent the people of this nation, please do not increase the difficulties faced by children across the country. This is my humble request.”
The minister assured that the NEET exam would proceed today, and the remaining results will be released by CBSE soon. “I want to assure you that there will be no disorder on our part for the children,” he stated.
Regarding the re-examination, ASP Aman Kumar Jha from Bijapur mentioned that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted at Navodaya School in Education City, Bijapur, on June 21. A total of 263 students will participate in the NEET exam at this center, which will be monitored by CCTV under the supervision of the National Testing Agency (NTA). In light of the exam, hundreds of police officers and additional traffic police personnel have been deployed.
