NDMCs Monthly Camp Addresses 91 Public Complaints in New Delhi

New Delhi, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Over 100 officials from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) gathered at the MDC Convention Center on Jaisingh Road on October 3, 2026, to address public grievances during their monthly ‘Sewa Camp.’ According to an NDMC official, the camp received a total of 91 complaints from citizens.

NDMC Secretary Rahul Singh led a team of 100 officers and staff from 30 departments, overseeing the resolution process of these complaints personally. The complaints primarily involved issues related to personnel, civil engineering, horticulture, public health, enforcement, commercial matters, taxation, and property departments.

In addition to filing complaints, many citizens attended the camp seeking information and guidance regarding various NDMC services and welfare initiatives. Secretary Singh engaged directly with the citizens, reviewing the nature of their complaints and instructing department heads to provide timely and quality solutions.

He emphasized that citizen satisfaction should be central to service delivery and encouraged the use of the ‘Jan Sewa Portal’ for quicker and more transparent solutions. A key feature of the camp was the direct interaction between citizens and departmental officials, allowing for immediate understanding of concerns and expediting the resolution process.

The statement also mentioned discussions on cases requiring policy-level scrutiny, providing citizens with information about the established processes and expected timelines for resolutions. NDMC Chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi highlighted that the agency’s focus is on placing citizens and staff at the core of administration during these monthly camps.

He described the ‘Sewa Camp’ as a single-window platform for information, assistance, and complaint resolution, facilitating direct communication between residents and senior officials. Dwivedi noted that he would meet with department heads to discuss ways to make the camp more effective and result-oriented.

The guiding principles for the camp include swift resolution of issues, analysis of the root causes of recurring complaints, and systematic improvements in service delivery.
