NDA Celebrates Modi as Indias Longest-Serving Prime Minister

New Delhi, June 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to break former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s record for the longest continuous tenure as the head of an elected government in India on June 10. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has praised his leadership. NDA leaders stated that PM Modi has elevated India’s military, economy, and foreign policy to new heights.

Speaking to the media, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat noted that the public delivered a historic mandate in 2014 by choosing a party other than Congress, granting the BJP a full majority to form the government. Under PM Modi’s leadership, significant efforts have been made for the country’s comprehensive development over the past 12 years.

He remarked that while the world grapples with geopolitical turmoil, India’s GDP growth for the fiscal year 2026 is projected at 7.7 percent.

Shekhawat added that before the BJP government led by PM Modi took office twelve years ago, public trust in democracy had waned.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal stated that PM Modi is favored by 1.4 billion people. He is recognized as one of the world’s most popular leaders and a highly influential international statesman. Completing 25 years of public leadership will be a remarkable achievement.

Goyal mentioned that party workers will organize large-scale events nationwide to connect with the public.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi emphasized that PM Modi is about to make history as the longest-serving Prime Minister.

He remarked that under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s military and economic strength, along with its foreign policy, are among the strongest globally.

Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande expressed pride that someone has surpassed the records of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. She commended PM Modi’s dedication and consistency, noting he never takes a day off and remains tireless.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde stated that PM Modi has enhanced India’s global stature and strengthened the country’s reputation worldwide.

He noted that today, India has gained recognition and trust globally. The Indian economy is on track to become the world’s third-largest, largely credited to Prime Minister Modi.

JD(U) spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad remarked that this is a significant achievement for a diverse nation like India, where people speak various languages and practice different religions. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has emerged as a global leader. He extended congratulations to PM Modi on behalf of the entire nation.
