Muslim Shabban Defends Hamid Ansaris Remarks on Communalism and Religious Freedom

Hyderabad, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Former Vice President Hamid Ansari’s recent comments on communalism and religious freedom have received backing from the Tehreek Muslim Shabban. Maulana Mushtaq Malik, the president of the organization, stated that Ansari accurately portrayed the current state of the nation.

In an interview with a news agency, Malik asserted, “His statements regarding Hindu forces are neither incorrect nor sensational. The actions of these groups are evident; an IPS officer was transferred for simply greeting someone with ‘salaam’ and ‘jazakallah.’ Traveling while wearing a cap or having a beard has become increasingly difficult, and reading the Quran on trains is also challenging.”

Malik criticized the government for ignoring the treatment of Muslims in the country. He remarked, “The government seems oblivious to the antics of Hindu forces. What Hamid Ansari expressed reflects the reality of our nation. Having held high office and worked in the bureaucracy, he understands how the country’s image is perceived globally.”

He further noted, “India was once celebrated for its diversity, but it is now infamous for hatred. Ansari’s statements are entirely justified. Muslims are currently the most targeted community. Those who oppress or lynch Muslims are not being addressed. The former Vice President’s comments resonate in an international context and are absolutely correct.”

Ansari’s remarks about escalating communalism and religious freedom have sparked political debate, with the BJP expressing objections while several Muslim organizations have voiced their support.
