New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Central Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to visit Punjab on September 21 for a one-day tour. His itinerary includes a visit to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo, where he will pay his respects, and participate in the BJP’s “Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra.”
Chouhan will also hold a public meeting in Maiser Khana and engage directly with farmers and women from self-help groups in Bathinda. The minister will kick off the “Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra” at 10 AM at the Dhana Mandi located at Ravi Das Chowk in Talwandi Sabo.
During his remarks, Chouhan highlighted the severe drug crisis plaguing Punjab, stating that addiction has devastated many families and ruined the lives of countless young people. He emphasized the need for a united and decisive fight against this issue.
Chouhan criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, claiming it has failed miserably in addressing the drug problem. He stressed the necessity for concrete and sustainable efforts to free Punjab from the grips of drug abuse.
Following his participation in the Punjab drug-free campaign, Chouhan will arrive in Maiser Khana around noon to address a large gathering. He will then visit Gurudwara Titter Sar Sahib at 1 PM to partake in a community meal before heading to the Agricultural Science Center in Bathinda at 2:30 PM for discussions with local farmers and self-help group members.
