New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service is being celebrated through the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ initiated by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on September 17 from Vadnagar and Varanasi. Now in its fourth day, the journey aims to spread the message of service, social responsibility, and public participation across the country.
Starting simultaneously from Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, the Yatra has traversed multiple routes and entered Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on Sunday. Thousands of volunteers and citizens are actively participating in various service-related activities. The journey not only facilitates travel from one location to another but also seeks to instill the spirit of ‘Seva Sankalp’ directly among the people. At each stop, BJYM workers engage with local communities to understand their issues and work on initiatives that have a meaningful impact on society.
Elected representatives and community leaders have also joined as ‘Seva Yatris,’ collaborating with grassroots workers. Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi participated in a public dialogue with villagers in Kanij village, Kheda district. BJP MP and national in-charge of all sales, VD Sharma, took part in the Yatra, engaging in grassroots activities.
In addition, Uttar Pradesh State Minister Swatantra Dev Singh and Lok Sabha MP Rajmani Kol participated, along with Gujarat ministers Kamlesh Patel and Riwaba Jadeja, who were among the key leaders involved in these service efforts.
Various programs are being organized along the routes, including cleanliness drives in public spaces and villages, tree plantation initiatives to promote environmental responsibility, bhajan singing and spiritual gatherings, as well as public dialogues and interactions with citizens. Visits to old-age homes and services for the elderly are also part of the community engagement efforts, tailored to local needs.
This Yatra embodies the belief that service is not merely an occasional activity but a continuous responsibility towards society. It aims to connect the younger generation with values such as selfless service, discipline, compassion, and social responsibility—principles that have defined Prime Minister Modi’s public life over the past 25 years.
