New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a strong critique of Rahul Gandhi‘s recent initiative, the ‘Students’ Echo’ program, labeling it a sign of desperation and ideological bankruptcy. Prominent BJP figures, including MP Tarun Chugh and spokesperson Shazia Ilmi, have targeted Gandhi, suggesting that his repeated electoral defeats have led him to lose his mental balance and engage in low-level politics.
Tarun Chugh remarked, “In his despair and anger, Rahul Gandhi is lowering the standards of his political discourse. I believe that his consistent failures have caused him to lose his grip on reality.”
Spiritual leader and astrologer Paramahamsa Dati Maharaj commented on the situation, emphasizing the importance of respecting one’s mother. He stated, “In India, relationships are sacred. Those who disrespect their mothers cannot be true followers of our traditions.”
BJP leader Sunil Devdhar echoed this sentiment, asserting that a mother is revered not only in India but universally. He stressed that no one would tolerate disrespect towards their mother, even in Italy, where Gandhi’s mother hails from.
Bihar minister Santosh Kumar Suman expressed that the actions of Gandhi have crossed all limits of decency, indicating that such behavior has embarrassed the Prime Minister, who represents 1.4 billion people. He criticized Gandhi’s conduct as shameful for the country.
In response, Congress leader Rashid Alvi defended Gandhi, suggesting that the BJP leaders lack understanding of comedy and seriousness. “He was merely joking; no one made fun of mothers,” Alvi stated.
Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel criticized those who oppose India’s cultural values, claiming that their focus on vegetarianism and traditional festivals reveals their true intentions. He stated, “People are realizing what Rahul Gandhi truly represents.”
Shazia Ilmi further questioned Gandhi’s intentions, asking if he seeks to dismantle democracy and the rule of law. “What does he want? A system like Nepal or Pakistan? Who will govern this country?” she asked.
Ilmi condemned the use of mothers as political props, calling it a new low in political discourse. “Disrespecting an elderly woman repeatedly is regrettable,” she added.
Independent MP Pappu Yadav remarked that the government has disrespected the honor of Gen Z and Gen Alpha. He advised Gandhi not to give importance to those who betray him within Congress.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma suggested that such mimicry might seem humorous, but it crosses a line when it involves mothers. He urged reflection on the matter.
BJP MP Mukesh Dalal stated that Gandhi’s imitation of an elderly woman disrespects mothers across the nation. He lamented that Gandhi was not raised with proper values, suggesting that discipline in his youth could have prevented his current behavior.
The ongoing exchange highlights the intense political rivalry and the emotional stakes involved in India’s current political landscape.
