Murder Case Unveiled: Family Feud Leads to Arrest of Two in Basti

Basti, June 21: The police in Basti, Uttar Pradesh, have cracked the murder case of Baboolal Chaudhary within just 48 hours. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime. Investigations revealed that the murder was orchestrated by Baboolal’s own brother and nephew due to disputes over land and money.

Authorities recovered the brick used in the murder and Baboolal’s mobile phone during the arrests. Circle Officer Satyendra Bhushan Tiwari provided details about the joint operation conducted by the Walterganj police, SWAT team, and surveillance team during a press conference at the police lines.

Baboolal’s body was discovered under suspicious circumstances on June 19. Following the incident, his brother, Shivkumar Chaudhary, filed a complaint against unknown individuals. Given the seriousness of the case, the police formed multiple teams to initiate a thorough investigation.

During the inquiry, police analyzed evidence from the crime scene, surveillance inputs, and the activities of suspects. This led to critical clues that shifted the investigation’s focus towards the deceased’s family.

According to police reports, Baboolal had no children or direct heirs and was demanding around five lakh rupees from his share. Additionally, there were ongoing disputes within the family regarding ancestral land. It is alleged that Shivkumar and his son, Pankaj Chaudhary, intended to seize the ancestral property. The investigation revealed that their greed for property and money motivated them to plot Baboolal’s murder.

Both Shivkumar and Pankaj Chaudhary have been apprehended. They are residents of Ratanpur Arjun village and were arrested near Ratanpur Mor. During questioning, the suspects confessed to their crime, leading to the recovery of the brick used in the murder and Baboolal’s mobile phone.

Satyendra Bhushan Tiwari noted that the Walterganj police, SWAT team, and surveillance team played a crucial role in solving the murder case. Based on technical evidence and thorough interrogation, the police uncovered the conspiracy behind the incident. They meticulously examined all aspects of the case, successfully reaching the suspects within just 48 hours. Necessary legal actions against the accused are currently underway.
