
Jafrabad, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : The police in Jafrabad, a neighborhood in northeast Delhi, have reported solving a murder case within four hours. Authorities arrested two suspects, one of whom is a minor, and recovered the knife used in the crime.
On the night of September 6, around 10:15 PM, JPC Hospital informed the police that a young man had been brought in with stab wounds. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The victim was identified as 19-year-old Sahil, son of Faheem, originally from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. Sahil worked at a powder coating factory located on Gali Number 4 in Chauhan Bangar, where he also resided.
Initial investigations revealed that the attack was allegedly carried out by a coworker at the same factory. Following the report, a forensic science team was dispatched to gather crucial evidence from the scene.
An FIR was filed on September 7 under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code at the Jafrabad police station, prompting an immediate investigation. A special police team utilized both technical and local intelligence to gather vital clues. Within hours, they apprehended the main suspect, 21-year-old Sahil from Gautampuri, Delhi, along with his 15-year-old accomplice.
During questioning, the older suspect revealed that he had been working with the victim for nearly three years. Tensions escalated between them over an offensive comment made on Instagram, leading to a violent altercation that resulted in the young man’s death.
The police confirmed that the minor arrested is a friend of the main suspect and had been staying with him for the past three days. Investigations are ongoing, focusing on the knife’s origin and other aspects related to the incident.
