Hyderabad, August 22: In response to the tragic road accident that occurred on August 16, which resulted in the death of a young woman, Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh has made his first public statement. He described the incident as deeply unfortunate and expressed heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family, stating that he and his family stand with them during this difficult time.
Lingamaneni Ramesh emphasized the pain of losing a young woman in such an incident. He assured that his family would provide every possible support to the victim’s relatives.
The MP urged the public not to jump to conclusions regarding the case. He advised against making assumptions or forming biases about the circumstances of the accident, stressing the importance of allowing investigative agencies to uncover the facts.
He recounted that immediately after the accident, his son Sanjush (the driver) took the injured young woman to the hospital without delay. Following that, he personally informed the police about the incident and provided all necessary details. Ramesh noted that a formal case has been registered and that his son underwent three separate medical tests, all of which returned negative results.
The MP stated that his son has fully cooperated with the investigative agencies and will continue to do so. He clarified that there has been no attempt to conceal anything in this matter, nor has there been any effort to evade legal processes.
“We have complete faith in the law. My son has followed every procedure set by the authorities,” Ramesh remarked.
As a public representative, Lingamaneni Ramesh reiterated his commitment to fully cooperate with the police and investigative agencies. He expressed confidence that a fair and transparent investigation would reveal the truth.
It is noteworthy that on August 16, in the Madhapur area of Hyderabad, 26-year-old Bharti Mukhi was struck and killed by a luxury car while crossing the road. Bharti was employed as a sales executive at a store located in Inorbit Mall.
In this case, the Cyberabad police have registered a case against 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush under Section 106(1) of the Indian Penal Code. However, following questions about the lack of arrest, the police clarified that, based on the available evidence and legal provisions, immediate arrest was not deemed necessary. According to the police, medical tests confirmed that there was no consumption of alcohol or drugs, and the investigation is ongoing.
