Mumbai, February 28: Motorola has officially announced the launch date for its latest Edge series smartphone in India. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will debut on March 6 at 12 PM IST. Following the announcement, the device will be available for purchase on Flipkart and Motorola’s official website.
This smartphone is positioned as the most budget-friendly option in the Edge 70 lineup. While the official pricing has yet to be revealed, expectations indicate a starting price below ₹25,000, placing it slightly under the Motorola Edge 70. Before its India launch, the device is also set to make its global debut on March 2, just ahead of MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
In terms of photography, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will boast a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor enhanced with Moto AI technology. This will be complemented by a 13MP ultrawide camera, which also supports macro and depth functionalities. Motorola has stated that the cameras are Pantone validated, ensuring more accurate color and skin tone reproduction. For selfies and video calls, the phone will feature a 32MP front camera, with all cameras supporting 4K video recording.
The device will be powered by a robust 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, equipped with 68W wired fast charging. Despite its large battery capacity, Motorola claims the phone will maintain a sleek profile, measuring just 7.99mm in thickness.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is anticipated to include durability features, such as IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. It will also be available in Pantone-curated color options: Pantone Blue Surf, Pantone Country Air, and Pantone Silhouette. The rear panel will feature a fabric-style finish for a premium feel in hand.
Although not officially confirmed, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. More details, including pricing and full specifications, will be unveiled at the launch event.
