Moondrop Unveils Premium Armature Art 24 Earbuds with 24 Drivers Each

Beijing, May 27: Moondrop has officially launched its latest flagship in-ear monitor (IEM), the Armature Art 24. This high-density earphone features an impressive 24-driver balanced armature setup, built around a complex single-sided acoustic design. Priced at 6,999 yuan (approximately $1,030), the product is available for purchase starting today.

Moondrop Armature Art 24 Specifications

The standout feature of the Armature Art 24 is its driver configuration. Each earbud includes 24 balanced armature units, divided into 16 bass drivers, 4 mid-high drivers, and 4 ultra-high drivers. This intricate setup ensures enhanced control over density, dynamics, and phase alignment across the audio spectrum.

The low frequencies are managed by Moondrop’s patented SUPERWOOFER module, which utilizes 16 balanced armatures to create a unified bass system. Mid and high frequencies are handled by aluminum-magnesium diaphragm balanced armatures, while ultra-high frequencies are delivered by four dedicated tweeter units, designed for exceptional detail and rapid response.

To support this intricate internal architecture, the earbuds feature precision 3D-printed acoustic channels. These channels minimize phase interference and maintain timing accuracy across the various driver groups. Additionally, Moondrop employs its patented progressive time-difference simulation technology to achieve a more natural spatial decay and reverberation pattern.

In terms of design, the Armature Art 24 incorporates a 0.78mm 2-pin detachable cable system and comes with interchangeable plugs for both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs. The cable is a hybrid construction, combining 19 cores of single-crystal copper and 19 cores of pure silver, all wrapped in a durable braided outer layer.

Included in the packaging are three sets of ear tips: traditional silicone, UC tips, and a new ATF foam-silicone option designed to provide better isolation without excessive pressure or heat buildup.

On the technical side, the IEM boasts a frequency response range of 7Hz to 35kHz, with an effective IEC-standard range of 20Hz to 20kHz. It has a sensitivity rating of 119dB/Vrms, and total harmonic distortion is maintained at or below 0.7% at 1kHz. Moondrop has tuned the product using its PopAvg-DF target, featuring a slight bass lift, measured in its free-field lab with a B&K5128C head simulator.
