Mumbai, August 20: Director Mohit Suri is well-known for his romantic-comedy films that have captured the hearts of audiences. Recently, he issued a playful warning to his screenwriter through a special Instagram post.
In the post, Mohit shared pictures of his dog, Asher, posing in front of a laptop. He humorously cautioned Rohan Shankar, saying, “I have a new writing partner! I think he’s the only one who can handle my 4 AM writing sessions. Rohan Shankar, watch out for Asher. You now have a competitor!”
Rohan Shankar is a prominent writer in the film industry. He began his writing career with the Marathi film “Lalbaugchi Rani” in 2016. Over the past few years, Rohan has collaborated with several renowned filmmakers, bringing a unique voice that balances entertainment with heartfelt storytelling.
Mohit Suri and Rohan Shankar previously worked together on the film “Saiyara.” Mohit directed the film, while Rohan penned its dialogues. The movie featured debut performances from Ahaan Panday as Krish Kapoor and Anit Padda as Vani Batra. Despite being newcomers, the film performed remarkably well at the box office and gained immense popularity among youth.
The film’s music and title track received widespread acclaim, resonating with audiences and making waves on global music charts. It tells the emotional love story of a stubborn and passionate singer (Krish) and an enthusiastic songwriter (Vani), revolving around life’s struggles and a serious illness (Alzheimer’s). The narrative draws inspiration from the 2004 South Korean film “A Moment to Remember.”
