New Delhi, August 19: Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai has recounted a fascinating story involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He shared an anecdote from a meeting with Modi when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. This encounter was not merely a formality; it left a lasting impression of Modi as a remarkable personality in Ghai’s memory.
A video related to this story was shared on the social media platform X by the account ‘Modi Story.’ It references an incident from 2009 when Ghai visited Gujarat to discuss his project, ‘Whistling Woods International,’ with the then Chief Minister.
In this special video, renowned director Subhash Ghai recalls his visit to meet Modi in Gujarat. He explains that upon arriving in Gujarat in 2009, he first went to the Chief Minister’s office. There, he was informed that Modi was in Mumbai. The secretary promptly called Modi to inform him of Ghai’s presence in Gujarat. Modi responded, asking Ghai to stay the night and join him for breakfast the following morning.
Ghai further elaborated that the next day, he met Modi for breakfast and presented his ideas. During the presentation, he discussed how Indian culture could be integrated into education, emphasizing that artistic perspectives are crucial for the development of children, regardless of whether they hail from Gujarat, Bengal, or Punjab. Modi appreciated Ghai’s thoughts and asked what he needed. Ghai expressed a desire for land near the airport for his teachers to access easily.
Modi immediately instructed his secretaries to find suitable land along the highway, indicating a desire for ‘Whistling Woods International’ to open in Ahmedabad. He assured Ghai that if there were any issues with his secretaries, he should call him directly. Ghai noted that Modi’s words were significant to him, as no other Chief Minister had ever said anything like that.
