Greater Noida, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police are actively promoting women’s and girls’ safety through the Mission Shakti Campaign 6.0. On October 13, 2026, a special awareness program was held at Mihir Bhoj Inter College in the Dadri area for NCC cadets. Approximately 50 students and teachers participated in this initiative.

The program aimed to educate youth about traffic rules, encourage responsible behavior to prevent road accidents, and provide crucial information regarding the safety of women and girls. Police officials emphasized that every citizen plays a vital role in maintaining a safe traffic environment. By adhering to traffic regulations, individuals can ensure their safety as well as that of others on the road.

During the session, students received comprehensive information on traffic rules. They were advised to exercise caution while driving, wear helmets on two-wheelers, use seat belts in four-wheelers, and follow traffic signals. Additionally, important insights were shared about maintaining discipline on the road, assisting in traffic management, and ensuring safe travel.

Police representatives highlighted that even minor negligence on the road could lead to serious accidents. Therefore, it is crucial to remain vigilant, understand traffic signals, and comply with regulations while driving. NCC cadets were encouraged to become responsible citizens regarding traffic management and to raise awareness about road safety among their peers.

The program also addressed women’s and girls’ rights, their safety, and emergency assistance services. Participants were reminded that ensuring the safety of women and girls is a collective responsibility of society. They were educated on being alert in emergencies, obtaining appropriate assistance, and helping those in need.

Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, this awareness initiative was supervised by DCP of Women’s Safety Suniti and led by ADC of Women’s Safety Manisha Singh, in coordination with traffic inspectors, local police, and relevant departments.

According to police officials, the Mission Shakti Campaign 6.0 aims to strengthen the sense of security among women and girls while enhancing community awareness.
