Medias Challenge in the Digital Age: Gaurav Dwivedi Discusses the Need for Conciseness

Mumbai, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Prasar Bharati, addressed the challenges faced by media in today’s digital landscape during a recent conversation. He emphasized that audiences are inundated with content, making it essential for media organizations to deliver news and information in a concise, accessible, and modern manner.

According to Dwivedi, the primary challenge for media today is time. With a plethora of options available for viewing and reading, audiences are reluctant to spend too long on any single piece of content. Therefore, it has become crucial to convey news accurately and succinctly. He stated, “Media organizations should focus on delivering news in a timely and appropriate manner.”

Furthermore, Dwivedi pointed out that in the digital era, merely providing information is insufficient; the presentation of that information also matters. Media must adapt its content delivery to meet changing times. Various media organizations are working in this direction to ensure that essential and accurate information reaches the public quickly.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, Dwivedi noted the need for funding to enhance the infrastructure and upgrade facilities at large media organizations like Prasar Bharati. He acknowledged that government support has significantly aided the modernization efforts of Prasar Bharati.

In celebration of Modi’s milestone, the Bharatiya Janata Party is conducting a “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” from September 17 to October 17. This initiative aims to promote the achievements of development works, communicate the efforts of both central and state governments, and engage citizens in the vision of a developed India by 2047. It also focuses on raising public awareness about government schemes, welfare programs, and development projects.
