Bareilly, June 17: Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilly, the national president of the All India Muslim Jamaat, has strongly countered the statements made by preacher Ram Bhadracharya. He emphasized, “We have lost one mosque; we cannot afford to lose another.”
Speaking in Bareilly, Maulana Razvi addressed Ram Bhadracharya’s claims regarding the retention of Mathura, Kashi, and Sambhal. He dismissed these assertions as mere dreams that do not translate into reality. “I want to make it clear that Muslims in India have sacrificed the Babri Masjid for the Ram Janmabhoomi. We have lost one mosque; we cannot lose another or a third,” he stated.
In response to a viral video, Razvi condemned an incident in Siddharthnagar where a Muslim was reportedly fed at a community feast only after chanting “Jai Shri Ram.” He criticized this act as a promotion of hatred rather than brotherhood and national unity. “This is an attempt to humiliate Muslims and showcase how they are coerced into chanting slogans. Such actions foster communalism, and I urge Muslims to avoid participating in such events,” he said.
Regarding comments made by former Tamil Nadu BJP leader K. Annamalai about North Indian migrants, Razvi asserted that crime is crime, regardless of where it occurs. “Whether in Tamil Nadu or Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, criminals should be treated equally under the law. Annamalai’s remarks target North Indians and imply that they are criminals, which is disrespectful and unacceptable,” he added.
