New York, Sept 9 (Kiran News): Shares of Marvell Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MRVL) rebounded in the second quarter of 2025, supported by renewed investor confidence and growing optimism around artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure demand.

The update came through the Brown Advisory Mid-Cap Growth Strategy Q2 investor letter, which noted that while the fund underperformed its benchmark, the Russell Midcap Growth Index, it saw encouraging trends in select holdings, including Marvell Technology.

AI Infrastructure Drives Confidence

Brown Advisory highlighted that Marvell’s stock recovered from a weak first quarter as investors responded positively to signs of resilience and near-term acceleration in the AI buildout. The company also hosted an AI-focused investor event, showcasing product innovations, key design wins, and a stronger long-term outlook.

On September 8, 2025, Marvell shares closed at $66.00, giving the company a market capitalization of $56.9 billion. Despite the rebound, the stock posted a -15.18% one-month return and was down 7.82% over the past year.

Hedge Fund Interest and Strong Results

According to filings, 76 hedge fund portfolios held Marvell stock at the end of Q2 2025, up from 73 in the previous quarter.

The company later reported record revenue of $2.006 billion in its fiscal second quarter of 2026, representing a 6% sequential increase and a sharp 58% year-on-year jump, fueled by demand for its semiconductor solutions in data infrastructure and AI workloads.

Analyst Perspective

One analyst remarked that Marvell’s performance “could have really gone badly” given its weak start to the year but noted that its AI positioning has restored confidence.

While Marvell continues to attract investor interest, Brown Advisory suggested that certain AI-focused stocks may offer higher upside potential with lower downside risk, especially in the context of tariff-related market shifts and onshoring trends.
