Major Vehicle Theft Gang Busted in Noida, Four Arrested and 16 Vehicles Recovered

Noida, May 21: The police in Noida have achieved a significant breakthrough by uncovering an interstate vehicle theft gang. Four notorious vehicle thieves have been arrested, and 16 stolen motorcycles and scooters have been recovered. Additionally, two illegal knives were seized from the suspects.

This operation has revealed the activities of a vehicle theft gang operating in Noida, Delhi, and Ghaziabad. According to police reports, on May 20, local intelligence provided information that some vehicle thieves were heading towards the Hanuman Temple in Sector 60. Acting on this tip-off, the police team set up a blockade and apprehended the four suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Pushpendra, son of Nandlal, Raju, son of Rajishter, Brajesh, son of Sadhu, and Lokesh, son of Natthu, all hailing from Sambhal, with some currently residing in Ghaziabad.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they would steal motorcycles and scooters in Noida, Delhi NCR, and Ghaziabad during both day and night. After stealing the vehicles, they would hide them in secluded areas with low foot traffic. Subsequently, the gang sold the stolen vehicles at low prices to customers.

The police stated that this gang had been active for a considerable time, committing vehicle thefts across various states. Based on the suspects’ information, 15 motorcycles and scooters stolen from Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad have been recovered. The recovered vehicles include models such as Splendor, Super Splendor, Passion Pro, and Jupiter scooters.

Several of these vehicles were linked to theft cases registered at various police stations in Delhi and Ghaziabad, including incidents reported in New Ashok Nagar, Kaushambi, Sector 24, Sector 39, and Shahdara.

The investigation has also revealed that the suspects have multiple prior cases against them. The police at Sector 58 have filed charges against the suspects under various sections of the BNS and the Arms Act, initiating further legal action. Authorities are now focused on locating other gang members and individuals involved in the buying and selling of stolen vehicles.
