
Bhopal, June 6: A significant reshuffle has occurred within the Madhya Pradesh police department. On Friday, the state government transferred eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Additionally, 66 officers from the state police service also received new postings.
According to orders issued by the state’s Home Department, most of the transferred IPS officers are from the Gwalior-Chambal region. Anu Beniwal, the Additional Superintendent of Police from Gwalior, has been reassigned to Jabalpur.
Similarly, Om Prakash, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Lanji, Balaghat, has been moved to Indore Zone 3. Karandeep, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Baihar, Balaghat, has been appointed as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Ujjain. Ayush Jakhad, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Karera, Shivpuri, is now the Additional Superintendent of Police in Jabalpur, while Gaurav Pandey, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Singrauli, has been reassigned as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Satna.
Mini Shukla, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Rajgarh, has been promoted to Additional Police Commissioner in Bhopal. Raj Krishna, the Sub-Divisional Officer from Morena, is now the Additional Superintendent of Police in Mahu, Indore. Sujawal Jagga, the Municipal Superintendent of Police from Dhar, has been appointed as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Gwalior.
The police department has also transferred 66 officers from the state police service. These changes are considered administratively significant, with speculation that more senior police officers may be reassigned in the coming days.
