Major Police Operation in Hazaribagh Leads to Arrest of 77 Criminals and Warrants

Hazaribagh, May 22: In a significant crackdown, the police in Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, have arrested 77 criminals and individuals with outstanding warrants within a 24-hour period. This operation was launched as part of a large-scale initiative against crime and fugitives in the area.

The operation was executed under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, with special teams formed across all subdivisions to apprehend suspects involved in various criminal cases.

A total of 30 teams, led by all police deputy superintendents and inspectors, were deployed for this mission. Approximately 150 police officers and personnel participated, conducting simultaneous raids at nearly 100 potential hideouts of criminals throughout the district.

The arrested individuals include suspects wanted for murder, assault, theft, extortion, and other offenses. Interrogations are currently underway, and the legal proceedings for the respective cases are being initiated.

Following their presentation in court, preparations are being made to place the detainees in judicial custody. Authorities believe that these arrests could lead to the resolution of several criminal incidents that have occurred in the district.

Police officials have indicated that this operation is not a one-time event. Continuous special operations will be conducted to control crime and apprehend fugitives in the district.

The Hazaribagh police have also appealed to the public for cooperation. They encourage anyone who suspects that a criminal is hiding in their area or has information about any suspicious activities to report it to the nearest police station. The identities of informants will be kept confidential. This significant action by the police is viewed as a crucial step towards controlling crime in the district.
