
Lucknow, June 2: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate and lay the foundation for numerous development projects worth crores in Kushinagar and Gorakhpur on Tuesday. During this event, he will also distribute certificates, approval letters, and financial assistance to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
In a post on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Adityanath shared details about the event. He emphasized that this occasion will provide a new momentum to the commitment towards development, heritage, and public welfare in Kushinagar, the site of Lord Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana, and Gorakhpur, the sacred meditation ground of Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath. The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony will cover 278 development projects in Kushinagar, costing over ₹424 crores.
After Kushinagar, the Chief Minister will head to Gorakhpur, where he will inaugurate various construction works related to the Chilua Tal tourism project, developed at a cost of ₹20.35 crores. These projects are expected to boost tourism in the region and create new job opportunities for local residents.
In his post, CM Yogi stated, “Today, we have the opportunity to give new momentum to the commitment towards development, heritage, and public welfare on the sacred land of Kushinagar and Gorakhpur. Along with the inauguration and foundation-laying of 278 projects worth over ₹424 crores in Kushinagar, certificates, approval letters, and financial assistance will be distributed to beneficiaries of government welfare schemes.”
He further added, “Subsequently, I will also inaugurate various construction works related to the tourism development of Chilua Tal in Gorakhpur, costing ₹20.35 crores. Honoring heritage and expanding development is the commitment of the double-engine government.”
