Goa, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has exposed a significant cheating scheme at Goa Airport. During a security check, officers uncovered high-tech electronic devices intended for examination fraud in the possession of two passengers traveling to Delhi.
Suspicion arose during routine security screening, prompting CISF personnel to conduct a detailed search. They discovered four electronic devices, three SIM cards, and five Bluetooth earpieces. Additionally, an admit card for a recruitment exam and an Aadhaar card were also found with the suspects.
Given the seriousness of the situation, CISF promptly alerted the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Military Intelligence. Both agencies conducted joint interrogations, revealing suspicions of impersonation related to a recruitment exam held at IIT Goa.
Following this, CISF handed over the two individuals, along with the seized devices and documents, to the local police. Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and are now investigating to identify any additional members of the gang and the extent of their operations.
This incident follows another significant success for CISF on October 6, 2026, at Mumbai Airport, where officers discovered gold paste hidden in a passenger’s shoes. The traveler, arriving from Sharjah, was heading towards the domestic terminal when the unusual appearance of his shoes caught the attention of security personnel. Upon inspection, they found the gold paste cleverly concealed within the soles, weighing approximately 319 grams and valued at around 3.7 million rupees.
CISF detained the passenger and handed him over to customs officials for further action.
