Jaipur, August 10: The notorious ATM heist involving ₹51 lakh in Bikaner district has been solved by the Panchu police. On Monday, authorities successfully arrested two suspects linked to the robbery.
Under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachha, three special teams conducted round-the-clock investigations and technical inquiries, leading to the apprehension of the two accused. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to locate three additional suspects who remain at large.
According to police reports, employees stationed in the ATM van orchestrated the robbery in a premeditated manner. The investigation revealed that there was internal collusion involved in executing the crime. The arrested individuals, Shyam Sundar Jat and Vikram Singh from Charkada, have been presented in court, where they were remanded to police custody for seven days.
During this remand period, police will interrogate the suspects to gather information about the stolen amount and other individuals involved in the incident. In a press conference held on Monday, CO Jarnail Singh, along with station officers Govind Singh and Ishwar Prasad Jangid, detailed how their teams collected evidence and made the arrests following a thorough investigation.
They further stated that the entire sequence of events was revealed through technical analysis and questioning of the detained suspects. The police emphasized that they are actively pursuing the three remaining fugitives and expect to apprehend them soon.
