The temple serves as a major hub of devotion, miracles, and spiritual energy, attracting devotees from far and wide seeking the blessings of Goddess Bhagwati.

On Friday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the temple’s grandeur. He shared a video of the temple on the social media platform X, stating, “Located in the Lohaghat area of Champawat district, the Jhoomadhuri Temple is a significant center of faith, devotion, and spiritual energy. This ancient temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, symbolizes the unwavering faith of devotees. A grand fair is held here every year on the occasion of Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha Ashtami.”

Inviting everyone, he added, “If you visit Champawat, make sure to pay your respects at Jhoomadhuri. The tranquil and spiritual atmosphere here brings peace to the mind and offers devotees a unique spiritual experience.”

The local populace of Uttarakhand holds profound faith in this temple, where visitors not only experience mental tranquility but also engage with the rich local culture and traditions.

Dedicated to the Adi Shakti Goddess Bhagwati, this temple is recognized as a Siddh Peeth. It is renowned for its natural beauty and spiritual energy. Every year, during the Bhadrapad month, specifically on the Shukla Paksha’s Saptami and Ashtami, the grand ‘Jhoomadhuri Mahotsav’ is celebrated, typically falling in August or September.

During the festival, chariot processions from nearby areas, such as Patan and Raikot, traverse the rugged mountains to reach the temple. This festival serves as a significant medium for preserving the local Kumaoni culture, folk music, and traditions.
