Mumbai, August 1: Maharashtra’s Minister for Public Works (excluding public undertakings), Shivendraraje Bhosale, visited Palghar on Saturday to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rainfall. He conducted a ground inspection of the district’s main roads and instructed officials to expedite repair work, maintain quality, and ensure safe and smooth travel for citizens.
During his inspection, Minister Bhosale reviewed the current conditions of the Manor-Maswan-Palghar, Palghar-Saravali-Boisar, and Boisar-Chinchani-Dahanu roads, assessing the damage from the rains, ongoing development projects, and proposed repair works. He directed the concerned officials to promptly repair the damaged roads to restore normal traffic flow.
Accompanying him were MP Dr. Hemant Sawara, MLAs Niranjan Davkhare and Vilas Tare, District Collector Dr. Indu Rani Jakhad, District Council CEO Manoj Ranade, Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Kini, and other senior officials.
Following the inspection, a review meeting of the Public Works Department was held at the sub-divisional officer’s office in Dahanu. The meeting focused on the district’s road development projects, pending works, damage from the heavy rains, progress of repair works, and upcoming action plans. Minister Bhosale emphasized the need for timely completion of all development works, ensuring no compromise on quality, and prioritizing citizen safety.
After the meeting, Minister Bhosale reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening the road infrastructure in Palghar district. He expressed confidence that all necessary works would be completed swiftly to provide citizens with safe, high-quality, and uninterrupted traffic facilities.
