New Delhi, March 18: Eknath Shinde, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, addressed the state’s political landscape and the functioning of the Mahayuti government. He emphasized that Maharashtra has its unique culture and that the Mahayuti government consistently makes decisions in the interest of the public.
Shinde accused the opposition of opposing every decision since the government took office, continuously leveling allegations. However, he asserted that his administration responds to these accusations through its actions. He stressed that the Maharashtra government is entirely a government for the people, working for their welfare.
During his remarks, Shinde also responded to the demand for an investigation made by NCP leader Rohit Pawar. He noted that Pawar had met with him and the Chief Minister, discussing the need for an impartial inquiry. Shinde confirmed that the Maharashtra government is investigating the incident, with CID and central government agencies also involved in the inquiry.
Describing the incident as unfortunate, he stated that the death of Ajit Pawar is a significant tragedy for everyone, and the truth must be revealed. He expressed confidence that the investigative agencies are performing their duties and that the complete truth will come to light.
Regarding his visit to Delhi during the parliamentary session, Shinde mentioned that he always meets with his MPs whenever the session is in progress. He highlighted that he has consistently traveled to Delhi for each session and has met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time as well. Additionally, he had an audience with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
