Madhya Pradeshs Ladli Behna Scheme Transfers 34th Installment to Beneficiaries

Gwalior, March 13: In a significant move towards women’s empowerment, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, in the presence of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, transferred ₹1,500 to the accounts of beneficiaries under the Ladli Behna Scheme on Friday. This marks the 34th installment of the initiative aimed at supporting women in the state.

During a state-level women’s conference held at the Shabari Mata Temple complex in Ghatigaon, CM Yadav addressed the Ladli sisters, stating that women in Madhya Pradesh are setting a benchmark for self-reliance and independence across the nation. Over 5 lakh self-help groups have empowered approximately 6.5 million women economically. Currently, more than 1.2 million women are working as lakhpati didis, leading factories and industries. Notably, 47% of new startups in the state are now spearheaded by these women. The government is committed to advancing the welfare and empowerment of all sisters in mission mode.

CM Yadav highlighted the dual-engine government in the state, which has brought double benefits to women through the Ladli Laxmi and Ladli Behna schemes. He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is prepared to tackle any challenges. The goal is to develop a prosperous India by 2047, with the state’s women playing a crucial role in this vision. The 34th installment of the Ladli Behna Scheme has seen ₹1,836 crores transferred to the accounts of over 1.25 crore sisters.

He further mentioned that every month, ₹1,500 is now being sent to each Ladli sister’s account. To date, over ₹52,000 crores have been disbursed to beneficiaries under this scheme.

Additionally, CM Yadav inaugurated 54 development projects in Gwalior district, worth ₹121.95 crores. He performed ground-breaking ceremonies for 35 projects costing nearly ₹60 crores and inaugurated 19 projects valued at approximately ₹62 crores, including the newly constructed building of the Government Sandipani School in Kulaiath Ghatigaon, which cost ₹39.86 crores.
