Harda, March 18: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing employment for every hand and irrigation for every field. Speaking at a state-level farmer conference focused on agricultural skill development and custom hiring in Harda, he highlighted the district’s unique identity in various development sectors.
He noted that Harda has achieved 100% irrigation coverage across its agricultural land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has identified four special categories for public welfare: the poor, farmers, youth, and women. The state government is working diligently to support all these categories, alongside industrial and infrastructural development.
CM Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is the fastest state in providing employment to youth. Additionally, the government is offering a monthly incentive of ₹1,500 to women. If these women engage in employment-based industries, they will receive an additional ₹5,000.
He acknowledged the respect accorded to mothers and sisters in Indian culture. To ensure a better future for children, the government is establishing Sandipani schools, with three new schools inaugurated in Harda. Students are receiving free books, bicycles, and milk packets, while meritorious students are being encouraged with laptops and scooters. The government is steadfast in its mission to provide work for every hand and water for every field.
During the inauguration and foundation-laying of development projects, he announced that custom hiring centers for agricultural equipment will be opened in every assembly constituency. CM Yadav stated that Lord Balarama is an ideal for the farmers of the state. The government has initiated a “Farmer Welfare Year” to promote agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry. A decision has been made to increase milk production from 9% to 20% to enhance farmers’ incomes.
He mentioned that farmers in Harda now have the opportunity to benefit from cage culture fish production. The state government is committed to ensuring fair prices for wheat, purchasing it at ₹2,625 per quintal with a bonus of ₹40 this year. Soon, the government plans to buy wheat from farmers at ₹2,700 per quintal.
CM Yadav also highlighted the importance of proper management of stubble burning, promoting organic and natural farming. He urged farmers not to burn stubble, as it affects the soil’s fertility. Special arrangements are being made for selling organic produce in markets. Advanced agricultural equipment will be made available for rent to small farmers, with plans to open rental shops. Farmer conferences are being organized in every assembly constituency during the Farmer Welfare Year.
