Bihar Day Celebrations Kick Off with Grand Inauguration by CM Nitish Kumar

Patna, March 22: Bihar Day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the state. Various events have been organized in all districts to mark this occasion.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar officially inaugurated the Bihar Day celebrations at the historic Gandhi Maidan by lighting a lamp and releasing balloons. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. B. Rajendra, welcomed the Chief Minister with a bouquet.

The theme for the three-day celebration, marking Bihar’s 114th foundation day, is ‘Developed Bihar, Bright Bihar.’ Before the inauguration, CM Nitish Kumar visited an exhibition showcasing various development projects from different departments.

He also toured the education department’s pavilion, inspecting facilities for differently-abled students, science laboratories, art rooms, smart classrooms, vocational education rooms, Atal Tinkering Labs, ICT rooms, Eco Club, Children’s Parliament, sports rooms, Nipun classrooms, and children’s gardens.

Present at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav, Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash, and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Minister Lakheendra Kumar Raushan, among other officials.

Various programs will take place over the three days of Bihar Day celebrations. Meanwhile, the Cooperative Department’s ‘Cooperative Pavilion’ was inaugurated by Cooperative Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar, who inspected various stalls. He praised the activities, products, and services of the cooperative institutions displayed at the stalls, emphasizing their crucial role in strengthening the state’s rural and agriculture-based economy.
