
Madhya Pradesh Police continue their strong crackdown on drug trafficking and related crimes, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at Rs 14 crore and the arrest of 22 individuals involved in these offences.
Major Raid in Ratlam District Uncovers MD Drug Factory
In a significant operation in Ratlam district, police raided an illegal MD drug manufacturing unit. The raid led to the arrest of 16 accused persons and the confiscation of 10.93 kilograms of MD drugs, along with raw materials, chemicals, electronic equipment, two four-wheelers, and assets worth Rs 12 crore. Additionally, police seized two illegal firearms, 91 cartridges, valuable sandalwood, and two peacocks that were rescued by the Forest Department from the premises.
Cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Arms Act have been registered against the accused.
Operations in Narsinghpur Yield Large Drug Seizures
Under Operation Eagle Claw in Narsinghpur district, police conducted raids at two locations, resulting in the recovery of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. In the first case, two suspects were arrested with 106 kilograms of ganja and a truck, with the total seized assets valued at approximately Rs 55 lakh.
In a separate action, police confiscated 31.55 grams of smack from one individual, valued around Rs 3.5 lakh. Overall, three accused were taken into custody and contraband worth Rs 58.5 lakh was seized in these cases.
Seizures and Arrests in Satna and Katni Districts
In Satna’s Uchehra police station area, authorities seized 400 kilograms (four quintals) of illegal ganja, estimated at Rs 40 lakh, and arrested one suspect. A case under the NDPS Act is registered and investigations are ongoing.
Similarly, in Katni district, police confiscated ganja worth Rs 50 lakh and arrested six drug traffickers involved in the smuggling network.
