Madhya Pradesh CM to Launch Narmada Project Phase IV in Indore on March 29

Indore, March 28: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will participate in several significant events in Indore on March 29. During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone for the fourth phase of the Narmada Project.

Additionally, he will attend the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Launchpad: Incubation and Innovation Center,’ established jointly by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore and the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation at the Singhasan IT Park.

The Chief Minister will tour the Launchpad Center to learn about the ongoing innovation and startup activities. This center is expected to play a crucial role in positioning Madhya Pradesh as a hub for deep-tech innovation and entrepreneurship.

Following this, CM Yadav will participate in the ‘Sankalp Se Samadhan Abhiyan’ program at Dashhera Maidan, addressing beneficiaries of various key state and central government schemes.

This event is part of a campaign conducted from January 12 to March 31, 2026, across the district in four phases, involving over 100 services from government departments.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the fourth phase of the Narmada Water Supply Project, which has an estimated cost of ₹1,356 crores. The project’s aim is to strengthen the city’s water supply system to meet future demands, including those projected for a growing population by 2040.

The project will be completed in several phases under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 scheme, with a set timeline for its execution.

CM Mohan Yadav will also inaugurate a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant in the Sirpur area, with a capacity of 20 million liters per day. Built at a cost of approximately ₹62.72 crores, this plant will prevent untreated sewage from directly entering ponds by intercepting 10 main sewer outfalls.

Treated water will be utilized for irrigation in around 25 gardens and green zones across the city, as well as for other purposes.
