
Bhopal, May 7: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has assured that the government will purchase every grain from farmers and will not tolerate any injustice against them. The wheat procurement process is ongoing in the state, and CM Yadav is closely monitoring the situation.
The Chief Minister emphasized that every grain harvested is valuable. Ensuring transparency in the market system and timely payments is a top priority. He has instructed officials from the market board to ensure that all market committees in the state prevent any delays in payments to farmers. Payments for procured agricultural produce must be made within the stipulated time frame.
Meanwhile, the state’s Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister, Govind Singh Rajput, conducted an unexpected inspection at the procurement center in Sehatganj, Raisen district, while traveling from Bhopal to Sagar. He gathered detailed information about weighing, procurement, and other arrangements.
During the inspection, Minister Rajput oversaw the weighing of bags filled with wheat. He conducted a thorough review of the arrangements at the procurement center and directed officials to ensure proper connectivity for transportation.
He issued strict orders to maintain transparency during the procurement process and to prevent any irregularities in weighing. Noticing some laxity in operations, Minister Rajput reprimanded survey staff members, Vasundhara Gaur and Shivraj Lodhi, and instructed them to improve their performance, stating that any negligence in farmers’ matters would not be tolerated.
During the inspection, the minister also engaged directly with farmers. Kishan Gopi and Kailash Yadav from Rangpur reported that they faced no issues in the procurement process and that their crops were being weighed on time. The farmers expressed satisfaction with the facilities available at the procurement center.
Minister Rajput directed officials to ensure that farmers do not face any inconveniences and that the wheat procurement and weighing processes are completed efficiently and on schedule. He reiterated the government’s full commitment to farmers’ interests and stated that any level of negligence would not be accepted.
