
Ayodhya, September 3: Madan Mohan Pandey, appointed as a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, emphasized his long-standing involvement in the struggle and legal battles related to the Ram Janmabhoomi issue. He formally filed a power of attorney in this matter in 1994, representing Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das and Ram Lalla in court proceedings.
Upon his recent appointment, Pandey expressed that he has been connected to the Ram Janmabhoomi struggle from the beginning, with his formal representation starting in 1994. This power of attorney was filed on behalf of Paramhans Ramchandra Das, and he later became the lawyer for Ram Lalla, advocating for both parties.
Pandey stated that he has followed this case from the Allahabad High Court to the Supreme Court, where the final verdict favored his side. The High Court also ruled in his favor, although the opposing party later sought partition of the decision.
Reflecting on his new role within the Trust, Pandey mentioned that he aims to serve to the best of his ability. Being entrusted with responsibilities related to a matter he has been involved with for so long is significant for him. He highlighted that his priority is to enhance facilities for devotees visiting Ayodhya for darshan. He intends to improve the amenities available through the Trust for visitors.
Additionally, he noted that as a member of the Trust, he will work diligently for the development and upliftment of the temple. His focus will remain on service, enhancing the comfort of devotees, and the temple’s progress.
