Fort Lauderdale (Florida), 16 August (Kiran News) – Inter Miami’s star footballer Lionel Messi is set to make his return to the field on Saturday against Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) after recovering from injury. Team head coach Javier Mascherano confirmed this on Friday.

The 38-year-old Messi had missed the last two matches due to a right leg injury, which he sustained during the first half of the Leagues Cup match against Necaxa on 2 August. However, he resumed training with the team earlier this week.
Coach Mascherano said, “Leo is now fully fit. He has been training with the team since Wednesday. We are confident that unless something unexpected happens, he will play in the match.”
Messi is currently tied with Nashville’s Sam Surridge in the MLS Golden Boot race with 18 goals. The Argentine, who has won the Ballon d’Or eight times, has also provided 10 assists in 17 MLS matches this season.
TrendingInter Miami (12-5-6, 42 points) is placed sixth in the Eastern Conference standings and is currently six points above the playoff cutline. The team has also reached the quarter-finals of the Leagues Cup.
