Kylian Mbappé Dismisses Real Madrid Speculations Ahead of World Cup

Madrid, March 30: French football star Kylian Mbappé has firmly rejected the speculation circulating in Spanish media regarding his commitment to Real Madrid. He emphasized that despite upcoming international responsibilities, winning both La Liga and the Champions League remains his top priority.

Mbappé responded strongly to claims suggesting he would prioritize the French national team and focus on preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

In an interview with Telefoot, Mbappé labeled these discussions as mere rumors.

He stated, “Yes, some people in Spain are a bit worried that I might not play. They think I will go straight to the World Cup. But that’s not the case. I want to win with Real.”

He added, “We are still competing in La Liga and the Champions League. In the Champions League, we are set to face a strong team, perhaps the best team in form right now, and if any team can beat them, it’s Real Madrid.”

The French superstar, recovering from an injury, is fully focused on this crucial phase of the season.

Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa dismissed any concerns regarding Mbappé’s fitness or commitment. He expressed complete confidence in Mbappé’s ability to manage both club and international responsibilities effectively.

Arbeloa remarked, “I see no issue with him going to the national team. If they call him up, it means he is a very good player.”

The 15-time Champions League winners, Real Madrid, are set to face German giants Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter-finals on April 8. This match will take place at their home ground, Estadio Bernabéu, where Mbappé is likely to play.
