Li Qiang Chairs Regular State Council Meeting in Beijing

Beijing, May 23: Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over a regular meeting of the State Council on May 21. The meeting focused on the development of a national integrated market.

The council emphasized that establishing a national integrated market is essential for creating a new framework for development and enhancing high-quality growth. Positive outcomes and significant progress have been achieved in recent years regarding the national integrated market. However, further efforts are necessary. It is crucial to develop relevant systems, enhance market facilities, and expand the integrated market in key sectors.

Additionally, the meeting passed the 15th Five-Year Plan for building a modern emergency response system. It was noted that emergency management is vital for safeguarding public safety and improving stability and development. The construction of a modern emergency response system must be accelerated to meet new conditions and requirements.

Furthermore, the council discussed and theoretically approved the revised draft of the People’s Bank of China Law. This draft will be presented to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for review.
