Leaders Pay Tribute to Hedgewar on His Death Anniversary, Amit Shah Highlights His Vision for Nation Building

New Delhi, June 21: On the death anniversary of Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), several prominent leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, paid their respects. Amit Shah emphasized that Hedgewar’s vision of a society free from untouchability, self-reliant, indigenous, and organized has become a cornerstone of India’s progress.

In a post on ‘X’, Home Minister Amit Shah stated, “On the death anniversary of the revered founder of the RSS, Dr. Hedgewar, I pay my humble respects. Dr. Hedgewar, a visionary, established the RSS to promote ‘Nation First’ and cultural nationalism, aiming for a secure, prosperous, and exemplary nation. His concept of a society free from untouchability, self-confident, indigenous, and organized remains a pillar of India’s advancement. His life is an inexhaustible source of love, discipline, and dedication to the motherland.”

Union Health Minister JP Nadda also shared his tribute, stating, “I bow to Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the first Sarsanghchalak of the RSS and our inspiration, on his death anniversary. He founded the RSS to awaken the cultural consciousness of the nation and instill a sense of dedication among the youth. His life is a unique example of unwavering love, sacrifice, and service to the motherland.”

Nadda further remarked, “His vibrant personality and dedicated life will continue to inspire future generations towards serving the motherland with duty, sacrifice, and dedication.”

Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, expressed his tribute, stating, “I pay my humble respects to Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on his death anniversary. His life, inspired by patriotism, organization, and dedication, laid the foundation for awakening India’s cultural consciousness. Through service and values, he made significant contributions towards building a strong, organized, and self-reliant nation. His thoughts and ideals continue to inspire countless workers on the path of national service.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also paid homage to Hedgewar, writing in a post on ‘X’, “You established the RSS with the noble aim of developing national character among millions of volunteers and made an unparalleled contribution to preserving the glory of Mother India. Your disciplined life dedicated to the nation will inspire youth for eternity.”

Former Union Minister Smriti Irani remarked, “As the founder and Sarsanghchalak of the world’s largest voluntary organization, the RSS, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar made patriotism a commitment for every individual. His entire life is a source of inspiration for dedication to Mother India, cultural consciousness, and national unity. His thoughts empower millions of volunteers to move forward on the path of nation-building. On the death anniversary of such a great national sage, I offer my profound respects.”
