New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : On September 20, leaders across India celebrated the foundation day of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were among those who conveyed their best wishes.
Gadkari took to social media, expressing his heartfelt congratulations to RPF personnel dedicated to ensuring safe and smooth rail travel. He emphasized their commitment to public safety in his message.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also shared his greetings on the platform ‘X’, stating, “On the foundation day of the Railway Protection Force, I extend my warm wishes to all brave personnel and their families. Your dedication and commitment symbolize the essence of our national lifeline, the Indian Railways.”
Haryana’s Chief Minister, Nayab Saini, acknowledged the RPF’s role in maintaining railway safety. He praised the vigilance and dedication of the force, stating that their efforts ensure secure and uninterrupted journeys for passengers.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her appreciation for the RPF’s unwavering service. She highlighted their readiness to assist passengers in crises and protect railway assets, reinforcing public trust in safe travel.
Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma commended the RPF for their relentless efforts to enhance the safety and efficiency of Indian rail travel. He noted their dedication as vital to the security of the railway system.

The Railway Protection Force Foundation Day is observed annually on September 20. This date marks the amendment of the RPF Act in 1985, granting the force the status of an armed force under the Union. Their motto, “Yasho Labhasva,” translates to “Achieve Glory.”
