Posters of Rahul Gandhi Napping Appear in Kolkatas Salt Lake

Posters depicting Rahul Gandhi napping in Parliament have surfaced in Kolkata, raising questions about accountability and political rivalry.

Kolkata, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : In Kolkata, on November 3, posters featuring Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were spotted in various areas of Salt Lake, a northern suburb. The posters depict Gandhi appearing to doze off during a parliamentary session. One of the slogans on the posters reads, “Is this the leader of the nation?”

The identity of those responsible for putting up the posters remains unclear, as no individual or group has claimed ownership. The posters showcase two distinct images of the Leader of the Opposition. In one, Gandhi is seen resting his head on his hands with his eyes closed. The other image shows him reclining in his seat with his hands on the desk, suggesting he was asleep during the session.

This incident coincides with Gandhi’s leadership of a movement in New Delhi, uniting opposition parties against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists and demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

In response, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a counter-campaign under the slogan “Save Democracy, End Anarchy.” A large rally was held in Kolkata on Monday, led by BJP President Nitin Naveen. During the rally, Naveen addressed the crowd, stating that just as West Bengal was freed from the misrule of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress earlier this year, Delhi must also be liberated from Rahul Gandhi soon.

Similarly, a rally was organized in Siliguri, Darjeeling district, also led by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.
