LDA Takes Major Action Against Illegal Plotting in Lucknow

Lucknow, April 19: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) launched a significant operation against illegal plotting and construction on Saturday. Bulldozers were deployed in the Naimish Nagar and Kakori areas, resulting in the demolition of approximately 80 bighas of illegally developed plots. Additionally, two unauthorized commercial constructions were sealed.

Under the direction of LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar, enforcement teams from Zones 3 and 4 collaborated for this operation. The authority stated that land acquisition for the proposed Naimish Nagar project on Sitapur Road is underway, with land being purchased based on farmers’ consent. However, some private developers were illegally developing plots, prompting this strict action.

Madhavesh Kumar, the zonal officer for Enforcement Zone 4, reported that operations in villages such as Saidapur, Kamalapur, Farrukhabad, and Bhawali led to the demolition of seven illegal plots spanning around 50 bighas. These plots were developed by individuals including Gangaram, Ram Naresh, Jitendra Verma, Vanshraj Yadav, Mehndi Hasan, Mohammad Imran Beg, and Rameshwar Yadav.

In a separate operation led by Atul Krishan Singh, the zonal officer for Enforcement Zone 3, five illegal plots covering about 30 bighas were removed in the Kakori area, specifically in the village of Shivri. Furthermore, two unauthorized commercial constructions being carried out by Brijesh Pal and Lalu Yadav in the village of Behta were sealed.

LDA officials emphasized that the Naimish Nagar project will be developed in an organized manner. They also assured that the campaign against illegal plotting will continue. Citizens are urged to verify the legality of any land purchase to avoid future complications.
