Noida, April 18: The Noida police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the case concerning the labor protests. Aditya Anand, the main accused, was apprehended by a joint team of Noida police and the STF in Tamil Nadu. He had been on the run since the incident, and law enforcement had been actively pursuing his arrest.
Noida Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that Anand’s involvement became evident during the investigation into the events surrounding the protests. He was present during both days of the demonstrations but fled shortly afterward. The police had obtained a non-bailable warrant against him and announced a reward of one lakh rupees for information leading to his capture.
Following his arrest, Anand was presented before a transit magistrate, and further legal proceedings are underway.
According to police reports, two of Anand’s associates, Rupesh Rai and Manisha Chauhan, had already been arrested in connection with this case. The police conducted raids across multiple states in search of Anand, ultimately leading to his capture in Tamil Nadu. Notably, six police teams collaborated in this operation to apprehend the accused.
