Kunal Khemu to Make Reality Show Hosting Debut with Alliance on June 26

Mumbai, June 16: Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu is set to make his debut as a reality show host. He will lead the new series “Alliance,” which will stream on Prime Video starting June 26.

“Alliance” is the first international adaptation of the globally acclaimed Dutch format from Talpa Studios, created by John de Mol. The Hindi reality show is produced by Banijay Asia.

In this reality competition, 16 contestants will initially enter as allies. However, as they vie for the ultimate prize—the winner’s trophy—shifting loyalties, mutual deception, and strategic maneuvers will put every alliance to the test.

Deepak Dhar, founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia, expressed excitement about collaborating with Prime Video on this project. He noted that the show’s scale is what attracted them, highlighting its large and cinematic games that have never been attempted before.

He added, “A format doesn’t become great just by appearances. What makes ‘Alliance’ special is the ongoing balance between strategy and performance. Contestants will face physical, mental, and emotional challenges, with each task presenting new opportunities and difficulties. It is fast-paced, unpredictable, and highly dynamic.”

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, shared his enthusiasm for bringing “Alliance” to audiences across the country. He emphasized that this unique format combines strategy, shifting loyalties, and evolving gameplay, promising an engaging experience that will captivate viewers from start to finish.

He remarked, “The success of our unscripted shows like ‘The Traitors India’ and ‘Too Much’ with Kajol and Twinkle reflects the growing demand for distinctive reality content.”

On the acting front, Khemu is preparing for the release of his upcoming film “Vibe,” co-starring Preity Zinta. This high-stakes action-comedy is set to hit theaters on September 18.

Produced under the banner of Drongo Films by Kunal Khemu and Chirag Nihalani, “Vibe” tells the story of two close friends whose ordinary lives suddenly transform into an exhilarating adventure that tests their courage and friendship.
